 “Birds and the Sky” by Farideh Farjam is Published

Kanoon Published “Birds and the Sky” written by Farideh Farjam and illustrated by Mohammad Ali Bani Asadi.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, Kanoon has published Farideh Farjam new book. She is known as Kanoon first author since Kanoon Publications was born in 1966 by publishing her book “The

Uninvited Guests”.

 “Birds and the Sky” is about accepting differences. It teaches children to find entertainments to make everybody happy and satisfied instead of hurting them.

It teaches them to resist bullying and do not accept it. “Birds and the Sky” is suitable for children above 12.

We read in the summary of the book, “One summer day, a group of birds that were neighbors and friends left their nests in search of water and food. But suddenly a group of birds wearing bells round their necks ringing jumped and blocked the way to their nests…”

Mohammad Ali Bani Asadi, an Iranian outstanding illustrator, has done the illustrations. The illustrations are done by pen and with mix media technique. 

Farideh Farjam is a children author, playwright, and adult author and poet.

She has written other books titled “The Uninvited Guests”, “The Glass Flower and the Sun”, and “Uncle Nowruz”.

Kanoon published “The Uninvited Guests” in 1966 as the first book of its publications. It has won many awards.

“The Glass Flower and the Sun” written by the same author has won the award of Bologna Book Exhibition in 1967 and UNESCO Award in Japan. Farjam rewrote “Uncle Nowruz”, published by Kanoon, with M. Azad’s cooperation when he was working in Kanoon editorial group.

It should be mentioned that “Birds and the Sky”, unveiled recently, is published in 40 colorful pages and with a price of 14000 Tomans is available in Kanoon stores and Book City.
