Three Kanoon Books Competing at Bologna Children’s Book Fair Illustrators Exhibition 2021

Three Kanoon illustrations made way to the 55th Bologna Children’s Book Fair Illustrators Exhibition, 2021.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, three Kanoon books with the following titles: “Cottonseed and Moon Tou Tou’s In Snowy Night” written by Meria Yazdani and illustrated by Ghazal Fathollahi; “The Story of the Flower of Regret” written by Mohammad Dehrizi and illustrated by Delaram Faghani; “A Jacket for Ilya” written by Jalmalledin Akrami and illustrated by Pegah Derakhshani have participated in this round of the competition.

Five judges from USA, Britain, France, Italy, and Japan have reviewed the works sent to Bologna Illustration Competition. 

Based on the news, the list includes 303 out of 3235 works in two sections of fiction and non-fiction from various countries. 

Since 1967, Bologna Illustration Competition have given a chance to the illustrators of the world to expose their illustrations to the international children books publishers to make the world familiar with the various and colorful world of illustration. 

This competition is held in two sections of fiction and non-fiction. Every January, an international delegation get together in Bologna to select the illustrator of that year and publish the catalogue that is a valuable guide for publishers, graphic designers, artists, teachers, librarians and the interested in illustration. 

The 58th Bologna Children’s Book Fair is held from June 14 to 17, 2021 in two sections of fiction and non-fiction in Bologna, Italy.
