“Crab” Reached Insomnia Animation Festival, Russia

“Crab”, an animation by Shiva Sadegh Asadi and a Kanoon production, made way to the 8th Insomnia International Animation Film Festival, Russia.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, the eleven-minute animation is the story of a shy isolated boy who loves to be a member of school theater group. Although, the role of a crab is offered to him. 

Insomnia International Animtion Film Festival is being held from July 15th to 19th in Kaluga, an area close to Moscow, Russia. 

In this festival, the best short animations from all over the world are screened in the open area and at night. During the day, the guests enjoy other activities of this art event. 

Based on the regulations of Insomnia Film Festival the one thousand-dollar cash award is given to the best films in each section, and the five-hundred dollars award is given to the best films in student section. 

It is reminded that “Am I a Wolf?” made by Amir Houshang Moein won the award of the best film at “Childish Dreams” from the same festival in 2019.
