According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, The White Ravens Catalog by Munich Library is celebrating its 35th anniversary with the release of a new list of the world's top publishers in 2021.

Publishing the catalog is a proper mean for all those who are interested in children and adolescents’ literature including publishers, editors, librarians, literature students, booksellers, and parents to have access to a complete list of the latest children and adolescents’ books. 

Nahid Kazemi, Iranian illustrator, has designed the cover of the catalog. 

This year, five titles from Iran are published in this catalog among which “Bears and other Carnivores” from the collection of Iran Mammals written by Ali Golshanipublished by Kanoon stands out in this catalog.   

200 books from 54 countries and in 38 various languages are on the list. 

These books are selected and introduced with endeavors of Leila Maktabi-Fard as Iranian expert of Munich Library. 

Leila (Roya) Maktabi-Fard is a graduate of the University of Tehran and Shahid Chamran of Ahvaz and a former member of the faculty of Kharazmi University in the field of information science and epistemology. She is an active member of Children’s Book Council and a freelancer researcher in children and adolescent literature who started her formal cooperation in the Farsi Section of Munich International Children Library in 2017. At present, she is working as child librarian in Munich Public Library. Due to her activities in 2018, she was selected as the winner of the fifth international section of the "Festival of Book Reading Promoters”. "
