“Gilgamesh” Made way to the Adapted Films Section of Tehran International Short Film Festival

Gilgamesh, an animation directed by Hossein Moradizadeh, is going to be displayed in the Adapted Films Section of the 39th Tehran International Short Film Festival, 2022.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, this animation had previously made way to the experimental section of the 39th Tehran International Short Film Festival.

Previously, “The Lovely Sky” directed by Amir Mehran; “Substitute” directed by Abdollah Alimorad; “The Sprayer” directed by Farnoush Aabedi; and “Playground” directed by Samaneh Asadi produced by Kanoon had been introduced as nominees for animation section.

Gilgamesh is a well-known hero from Uruk, a city from Sumer in Mesopotamia. He spends his life in searching for eternity and he gets defied but finally he finds a plant that will make him eternal but a snake finds the plant and steals it. This way his life time achievement is lost.

The Golden Leaf of the festival and a cash prize of 25 million Tomans will go the best adapted script.

39th Tehran International Short Film Festival with Mehdi Azarpendar as the director is going to be held from 19 to 24 Oct 2022.
