Performing “Mubarak and the Flying Rug” at Kanoon Theater Centre

Live puppet show “Mubarak and the Flying Rug” written, designed and directed by Hamed Zahmatkesh is staged since 22 July 2019 at Kanoon Center for Theater Production and Puppet Show.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, the play is for six-year-olds and above. It has been selected as the best puppet show at Kanoon16th International Puppet Show Festival.

 “Mubarak and the Flying Rug” is the story of changes taken place in neighborhoods. Mubarak has taken Kheimeh’s dad to their old neighborhood to show him the changes. Meanwhile, he himself decides to go through some changes and turn into an important person, yet when he sets out, he faces some problems…

The composer is Amir Hossein Ensafi. Ramin Abdollahi plays Tar and Kamancheh. He has done the recording of the music.

Nasrin Khanjari and Amir Hossein Ensafi are the songwriters, Hanieh Zahmatkesh and Elaheh Mirzaee have designed and made puppets and masks, Mohammad Shamloufard has done the light designing.

Shakiba Khodadadeh, Soureh Ghadami, Amin RoozBahani, Mani Zahmatkesh are the stage managers. Mona Sarbandi, Tahmoures Iranshahi, Rasoul Ghanbari, Marzieh Dehghanpour and Hamed Zahmatkesh are the puppeteers and actors in “Mubarak and the Flying Rug”.

The play is performed since 22 July 2019 every day except Saturdays, 10 a.m. for schools and kindergartens, 20:30 for public at Golestan Hall, Kanoon Center for Theater Production and Puppet Show in Laleh Park.
