According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, the closing ceremony of the 42nd Fajr International Film Festival was held with the participation of Mohammad Mehdi Esmaeili, the minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance; Mohammad Khazaei, head of Iranian Organization of Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs; Haamed Alaamati, Kanoon General Manager; and a group of artists and cultural-art managers in Milad Tower’s main conference hall.

Based on this, “Zaher”, a film directed by Hossein Ameri could received a Simorgh from “The East Manifesto” for its film script. Nasim Bastani has written the film script of “Zaher”. In “New Perspective”, Simorgh was given to Reza Keshavarz Haddad for “Kianoush Garden”.

Arman Award was given to “Kianoush Garden” by Tehran Municipality.

This film is a joint product of Soureh Cinema Organization and Kanoon. It is an adventurous youth-oriented film.

“Kianoush Garden” is a narration of a happening in the 80s with a story based on a book bearing the same title published by Kanoon. The location for shooting the film was Hamedan, Tehran, and Gods city.

The 42nd Fajr International Film Festival was held from Feb 1st to 11th, 2024 with Mojtaba Amini as the director of the festival.

Based on the news, Mohammad Reza Karimi Saremi, Kanoon Production Assistant, received the award as Kanoon representative.

In the summary of the film we read: “Zaher is 18. He is doing his military service in the north of Iran. He gets familiar with Akbar and Ziba, the old couple living in a cottage close to the garrison. Later, certain things happen to him.

Also, in the "New Perspective" section of Crystal Simorgh, the best artistic achievement went to Reza Keshavarz Hadad for the film " Kianoush Garden". The Arman Award was also awarded by Tehran Municipality to the movie " Kianoush Garden". This film is a joint product of Sore Film Club and Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults. It is an adventurous and youth-oriented work. " Kianoush Garden " has a narrative of an event in the 60s, the story of which is an adaptation of a book of the same name produced by the Center for Intellectual Development, and the cities of Hamedan, Tehran, and Qods city were the main filming locations for this film. The 42nd Fajr International Film Festival was organized by Mojtaba Amini from 1 to 11 Feb., 2024.
