“My Strange Big Small Uncle” Play at Kanoon Theater Center

“My Strange Big Small Uncle” directed by Naser Avijeh and written by Gita Davoodi is performed at Kanoon Theater Center since July 1 2019.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, the play is the story of a woman who runs a library. She believes stories and books can have magical influence. Strange things occur with the advent of a little girl called Sara who is sad and lonely because the of past events in her life.

The play is based on Shel Silverstein collection of stories published by Kanoon. It is performed by “Basi Sazan”  theater group.

 Arash Salgi is the composer; Asghar Faridi Masouleh is the motion designer, Sina Yeylaghbeigi is the stage assistant and Soheila Javadi is the costume designer.

Ramin Bahadori has made the theater animation and Reza Khazraie is the light designer.

Elham Zareie is the director assistant; Omid Alirezaie is the stage manager, Soheil Salaki is the stage assistant, and Behrouz Faeghian is head of public relations and virtual advertising. 

Behnaz Mehdikhah has designed and made puppets and Mobina Afrasiabi is the puppeteer in this play.

Yasam Salgi has designed the poster and the brochure of the play. The cast are: Maryam Ashouri, Mahak Fattahpour, Naser Avijeh, Mehrdad Bagheri, Shahin Golkar, Mohammad Allahdadi, Saba Soleimani, Raha Avijeh.

With Saeed Changizian, Elham Korda, and Alireza Nasehi as the speakers, “My Strange Big Small Uncle” will be staged in summer 2019 at Boustan Hall at Kanoon Center for Producing Theater and Puppetry at Hejab St, inside Laleh Park, Tehran.

The play is staged since July 1st, 2019 except Saturdays. The play is for schools and kindergartens in the morning at 10 am and fro the public at 18:30 pm.
