Eight Kanoon Plays at Hamedan International Theater Festival

Eight Kanoon plays made their way to 26th Hamedan International Children and Adolescents Theater.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, four Kanoon plays in children section, two plays in youth section and two in younger children section are going to be staged and compete with other performances. 

Out of 82 works sent to the festival, four belongs to Kanoon.

“Houshang, the Turtle” directed by Elika Hedayat, “Bald Pigeon Fancier” directed by Azadeh Ansari, “Mubarak and the Flying Rug” directed by Hamed Zahmatkesh and “The Taste of Lie is Bitter” directed by Samira Yazadn Pajouh are the plays that are going to compete with each other in the children section.

Out of 51 works sent to the Youth section of the festival, seven works are accepted. “My Strange Big Little Uncle” directed by Naser Avijeh produced by Kanoon, and “The Legend of Snaked Shoulder” directed by Mohammad Jahanpa produced by Kanoon center in Mashhad have participated in this section.

 “My Imaginary Skirt” by Behnaz Mahdikhah and “Our Home Yard” directed by Vahid Khosravi had previously participated in the younger children section of the festival.

Hamedan 26th International Children and Youth Theater is held with the motto of “Child, Nature, Theater” next month.
