According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, this eleven-minute animation is based on a story written by Susan Taghdis, made by cutout technique.
This film will experience the international presence in the Annecy Festival for the first time by showing in the competitive section of short films for adolescent audience.
Maryam Kashkoolinia is an animator, university teacher, director and chairperson of the Board of Directors of Iran Asiafa. She was attending the 41st Annecy Animation Festival as jury in 2017.
Kanoon has already participated in competitive section of this festival with the following animations: “The Kitten” directed by Shiva Sadegh Asadi produced in 2013 and “When I was a Child” directed by Maryam Kashkoolinia produced in 2014.
It should be mentioned that “Am I a Wolf?” by AmirHoushang Moein produced by Kanoon participated in “Panorama” section of the 59th Annecy Animation Festival.
This year, in the 60th round of this festival, 3000 films have participated in two sections: short animations and feature ones from 94 countries. 37 films are going to compete with each other in the official competition section, 12 in “Off Limits” section, 20 in Panorama, 10 in adolescent audience, 44 in student section, 21 in TV section and 35 films in business and entertainment section.
This festival is one of the most credited ones in the world. Due to the outbreak of coronavirus, the 60th festival is going to be held online from 15 to 30 June 2020 in France.
