According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, this program is held at children section, Kanoon centers all over the country. The goal is to value the art-industry of animation, to increase the number of the audience of the influencing art of animation, to prepare the ground for criticizing and opinions about animation at kanoon centers all over Iran and to provide a resource as visual-written stimuli for the literal and artistic members of Kanoon.

“Animation Day” is for Kanoon staff, members of cultural-artistic centers, and educators to get familiar with this art. These films are among the animations selected at children section of the previous festivals. The selected films are displayed simultaneously, on June 2nd, 2022 at 9:30, at Kanoon movie theaters in various provinces and mobile rural centers all over Iran.

Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (Kanoon) has been organizing the International Animation Festival since 1999.

The goal of holding this great cultural-artistic event is to help grow and develop the art of animation, to create effective grounds and a suitable platform for the art of animation. One of the side sections of this festival in 2022 is holding “Day of Animation” simultaneously in the exhibition halls of provincial centers and mobile rural centers throughout the country.

Tehran 12th Biennial International Animation Festival is held in person from May 29th to June 2nd, 2022 at Kanoon Center for Cultural and Artistic Creations located on Hejab Street.
