According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International the feature film “Smart Kid” directed by Behnoud Nekouiee and Mohammad Javad Jannati.

This animation is produced by Hamed Jarari. It is the first Kanoon feature animation.

In the summary of “Smart Kid” we read: “Mohsen is a little boy who loves superheroes in movies. He always tries to help anybody he comes across. He faces an expired Iranian species. He decides to help the animal to get back to his homeland, but a trip to the heart of the jungle, fighting the hunters and facing expired creature is the start of a complicated adventure for Mohsen.

“In the Embrace of the Tree” is another feature movie by Kanoon participating at Fajr Film Festival. It is directed by Babak Khajeh Pasha and produced by Mohammad Reza Mesbah.

“In the Embrace of the Tree" depicts a dramatic, ardent, and minimalistic narrative of the last efforts of a family on the verge of collapse. In the summary we read: “The complicated crisis Kimia and Farid are facing after 12 years of married life puts the beautiful life of their kids upside down. Children who do not know anything in life but simplicity and kindness.

Javad Ghamati, Maral Baniadam, Rouhollah Zamani, Ahoora Lotfi and Rayan Lotfi are the actors of “In the Embrace of the Tree”.

This film is considered as the first cooperation between Soureh Cinema Organization and Kanoon.

The 41st Fajr Film Festival is held from Feb 2nd to 11th, 2023.
