According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, the jury for this round of Tehran Animation Festival include Nahid Samadi Amin, Masoud Zeinolabedin, Amir Hossein Salehi, Behnoud Nekouei, and Hamid Reza Hafezi. The jury reviewed more than 1034 films from 72 countries and 524 films from Iran.
The jury introduced 197 films to participate at the competition section of the festival including 32 Iranian films and 165 foreign ones.
Based on this, out of 32 Iranian films the following made way to various sections of the festival: 8 in Short Film Section, 5 in Children and Adolescent Section, 4 in Series Section, 2 in Experimental Section, 4 in Commercial Section, 8 in Student Section, 1 Feature Film Section.
Out of 165 foreign works the following made way to various sections of the festival: 78 in Short Film Section, 21 in Children and Adolescents Section, 3 in Series Section, 6 in Experimental Section, 54 in Student Section, 3 in Feature Film Section.
