According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, in total, out of 1,558 works from 72 countries registered on the 13th Tehran International Animation Festival website, 1,328 works reached the festival secretariat, and in the end, based on the selection committee's vote, 334 works made it to the national and international competition section.

​139 films from Iran made way to the national section. 195 works including 33 films from Iran and 162 from other countries are competing at the international section. 

Countries participating at the international section are Iran, Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, People’s Republic of China, India, Ireland, United States, Taiwan, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, Britain, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Norway, Lithuania, Poland, Spain, Slovakia, Holland, Hong Kong, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, and Hungary.

Nahid Samadi Amin, Masoud Zeinolabedin, Amir Hossein Salehi, Behnood Nekouei, Hamid Reza Hafezi are the members of the jury for this round of Tehran Animation Festival. 

The 13th Tehran International Animation Festival, like previous ones, is going to be held in four sections of National and International Competition, Non-Competition, Special Screening and Panorama with Mohammad Reza Karimi Saremi as the festival director March 3 to 7, 2024.
