According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, out of 71 illustrators who made way to the final competition of Sharjah Exhibition for Children's Book Illustrations. Eight Iranian illustrators made way to this fair: Reza Dalvand, Mitra Abdollahi, Noushin Sadeghi, Hamideh Khosravian, Somayeh Mohammadi, Amir Alaaei, Mina Naeemi, and Negar Orang.
Based on this, “Sweet Salt” written by Morteza Hatami and illustrated by Negar Orang and Kanoon latest product is among the selected works.
Negar Orang has used collage technique to illustrate the pictures of the book.
Out of the ones who have participated in this international event, several works were selected for the first stage participating at the competition. They were exposed to the audience at the book fair. Then, out of the works made way to the final competition, three illustrators received the first, second and third awards and three received persuading ones.
Kyoung-Min, Ahn won the first prize.
Sharjah International Book Fair is held yearly with the goal of promoting the quality of children book illustration, also effective relationship among illustrators, authors, publishers and all those who are active in the children-book field worldwide.
It is reminded that the works by the 71 illustrators that made way to the final competition of 13th Sharjah Exhibition for Children's Book Illustrations is going to be exhibited for ten days. Moreover, they are published in the catalog of the 13th Sharjah Exhibition for Children's Book Illustrations, 2024.
