According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, “In the Shadow of the Cypress”, a short animation produced by Kanoon, received the award of the best two-dimensional animation and the award of the best music for short animation from the competition section of International Feature Films Festival and Portland Animation Festival. 

According to Portland festival organizers, the focus of this festival is on finding the best short films, feature films, documentaries, animations, experimental and TV series. 

In years, this festival has displayed hundreds of astonishing works by superior talents of the world. “In the Shadow of the Cypress” is Kanoon successful animation that has had the chance to participate at the competition section of many prestigious festivals. It also managed to win three awards from Oscar approved festivals.

The 12th Portland Festival of Cinema, Animation & Technology were held 21 to 25 August, 2024 in USA.
