According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, the names of the works making way to Iran’s cinema section, international, out of contest, and series participating at the 9th Shahr International Film Festival were announced.
Out of the films screened from July 22, 2022 to Oct 2025 after the 8th Shahr Film Festival, the festival jury for Iran cinema section selected films with urban topics for displaying, competition and being judged. Altogether, 13 films made way to the competition section.
One of the films that entered the feature film section is “Call Me Ziba” directed by Rasoul Sadrameli and Seyed Maziar Hashemi as the producer.
This film is an adaptation of a story with the same title written by Farhad Hassanzadeh, a Kanoon production.
The presence of this work at the festival is a reflection of Kanoon's attention to producing cinematic works focusing on the issues and concerns of children and adolescents.
