21 Iranian children and adolescents shined at Kanagawa  Painting Competition

Children and adolescents managed to win 21 awards from the 23rd Kanagawa Biennial World Children's Art Exhibition. Two awards are the most important: the special award of head of UNESCO and Japan UNICEF.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, this round of the competition was held with free theme and more than 10,000 children and adolescents from 73 countries participated in this contest.
Out of all awards, 20 awards were won by the members of various Kanoon cultural and artistic centers in various provinces. One award was won by a participant in free section.
Among winners, Amir Hafez Shirazi,9, from center No 2 in Isfahan managed to receive the prestigious award of "President of the National Federation of UNESCO Associations in Japan".
Sama Sheikhi, 12, from center No 10 in Isfahan could win the special award by Chairman of the Japanese Committee for UNICEF that added another honor to Iran’s collection of honors.
Avin Ghahramanzadeh, 7, from Makou in West Azerbaijan could win the Special Award from the Japan Association for the 2027 Yokohama International Horticultural Exhibition.
Next to special awards, 18 other Iranian children managed to receive the statue and award of Kanagawa.

Sayna Salimi, Tina Hassanzadeh, Helma Kheiri and Leila Sadat Momeni from Isfahan Province; Hana Mohammadi and Mahya Khanmohammadi from West Azerbaijan; Abbas Fatehi, Arman Sadeghzadeh and Artina Zaer from Larestan in Fars Province; Elmah Bolourian, Mahsa Kardan and Nazanin Zahra Kouhi from Ardabil Province; Hamraz Rahimi from Alashtar in Lorestan Province, Hedieh Zahra Faelehgari from Hamedan Province; Mehrta Torang from Hormozgan Province; Roshana Zomorrdi-Ezat from Alborz Province and Sana Khodaei from South Khorasan are other Kanoon members participating in this round of the contest.

Mohammad Mani Rabei from Tehran is the selected child who was a free participant in this competition.
It should be reminded that Kanagawa International Competitions started in 1979 in Kanagawa province in Japan with the aim of bringing children closer and familiarizing them with the cultures of nations.
These competitions are judged by professional and outstanding judges. Children’s paintings will be displayed for the public at the time of the exhibition.
