Strategies for Developing Cooperation between Iran and Greece in the Field of Children and Adolescents were Reviewed

The Cultural Adviser of Islamic Republic of Iran in Greece talked to Kanoon Director General of Public Relations and International Affairs on the development of cultural relations between the two countries in the field of children and adolescents.

Mehdi Nik-khah Ghomi, Iran Cultural Advisor in Greece, and Hamed Rahnama, Kanoon Director General of Public Relations and International Affairs, talked over strategies of developing bilateral cooperation between the two countries in this meeting.

At the beginning, Hamed Rahnama said, “Kanoon has had considerable cooperation with Islamic Culture and Communication Organization and Iran cultural advisors have had special cooperation with Kanoon in various countries during friendship weeks, and festivals such as storytelling, toys, and animation.

General Director of Kanoon Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs continued: “There are some limits due to the outbreak of Corona Virus for the time being. We are doing our best to continue our cooperation in cyberspace. ”

Rahnama said, “Kanoon can offer its products, such as books translated into other languages, and its products to children and adolescents in Greece to benefit from it.”

He mentioned that Kanoon is ready to hold online meetings with poets and authors for children and adolescents.”

He also suggested holding cinema nights of Kanoon productions and films by prominent directors for Iranian children and adolescents living in Greece and non-Persian-speaking people at the meeting.

Then, Mehdi Nik-khah Ghomi, Iran Cultural Advisor in Greece said, “Cyberspace is an opportunity that must be used well. Especially if such contents are prepared for children and adolescents.”

He said there are many historical and civilization commonalities between Iran and Greece. Therefore, it is appropriate to acquaint children with Iranian culture.”

Nik-khah Ghomi emphasized that to make Iran known  we do not only need articles, books and encyclopedias. But, we must have contents to send them to children and adolescent and publish them in cyberspace. 

The cultural advisor of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Greece reminded, "This content prevents the Iranian children living abroad not to move away from their culture.”

This meeting was held on July 12th 2020 in Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs.
