According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, six plays produced by Kanoon at Children and adolescents section and one play at Toddlers section will compete in the final stage of the festival.
The jury includes Shadi Pour Mehdi, Manadana Karimi, and Hossein Fadaie Hossein. After reviewing 97 plays, plans for puppets and performing ideas, in the section for “Stage Plays” for children and adolescents, six works by Kanoon were introduced to be evaluated for the performance.
Based on this, “The Singing Ass” written by Mohsen Azimi Pouya and directed by Hirish Naghshbandi from Sanandaj; Secret of Ghaf Peak” written and directed by Seid Yaser Hashemzadeh from Bijar both from Kordestan; “Bang Bang” written by Zahra Alijani and directed by Sara Sayyah from Ghazvin; “Following the Sky” written and directed by NoushinFarhadi from Farsan, Chahar Mahal Bakhtiari Province; “Tashtar” written by Atesa Shamlou and directed by Narges Safamanesh from Tehran; “World Loneliness” written and directed by Rahmat Gholami from Kermanshah are the titles of the plays.
After reviewing 21 works, considering the thematic proportions and special audience of this section, the jury of special plays for “Toddlers” introduced “Tale of Two Lonely Turtles/The Sheep who was Angry” written by Hamed Zarean based on books with the same titles by Joseph Theobald and Mostafa Rahmandoust and directed by Maryam Khaksar Tehrani from Tehran to be evaluated.
Based on the news, “Secret of Ghaf Peak” by Yaser Hashemzadeh, “World Lonliness” directed by Hedayat Rahmat Gholami entered the final of 18th Kanoon Performing Arts.
It is reminded that the groups accepted at this stage will have the opportunity to produce and prepare their work until December 31 of this year.
Tehran-Mobarak 18th International Puppet Show will be held in Tehran in February 2021.
