“Autumn Winds, Spring Winds and Two Doves” is going to Film Festival, Canada

“Autumn Winds, Spring Winds and Two Doves”, by Sadegh Javadi entered “P’tit Loups” short film section of 49th Montreal International Film Festival, Canada.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, Kanoon produced the animation in 2020. It is experiencing its first international presence in Montreal Film Festival.

Ten-minute animation, “Autumn Winds, Spring Winds and Two Doves”, is based on a book carrying the same title written by Ahmadreza Ahmadi published by Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults.

Since 2016, a new section, P’tits Loups, is added to the festival. The section screens films for primary school children, high school adolescents and families who are interested in educational films.

Based on this, selected films for this section are competing under topic of “Why I Love Cinema?”. The jury includes 3 to 5 judges aged 8 to 12. At the end, the selected film is awarded with the badge of the section.

Due to the outbreak of Corona virus, the organizers of 49th round of the festival are going to hold four workshops with the theme of the films in the “P’tit Loups” online and free of charge for the audience.

“Autumn Winds, Spring Winds and Two Doves” is the story of a girl who is waiting for a man to arrive. The dove gives her the man’s letter. The man gets on the ship. Autumn storm shakes everything. All are depressed and hopeless. Yet, the dove does not wait for the spring to arrive and starts investigating.

It should be reminded that Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults had participated in the competition section of the 40th round of Montreal Film Festival with “The Farmer and the Robot” directed by Abdollah Alimorad.

49th Montreal International Film Festival, Canada, Festival De Nouveau Cinema De Montreal is held in Montreal from Oct 7 to 18, 2020.
