Kanoon Published “Simple Machines”

“Simple Machines” is a Volume of the Four-Volume Series of “Stone Age Science” that Familiarizes Children with Various Machines like Levers, Wheelbarrows and Cranes in the form of a Story.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, “Simple Machines” is for the audience above 12 (Grade-Schoolers) recently published by Kanoon. 

The four-volume series of “Stone Age Science” is written by Felicia Law and Gerry Bailey and illustrated by Mike Phillips. Ali Khakbazan has translated it into Farsi.  

In “Simple Machines” like three other volumes of the series, “Leo” is the main character of the story who is a Stone Age scientist. He teaches his knowledge about various topics to his cat “Palace”. 

“Simple Machines” is a book that makes children familiar with levers, handmade wheels, pottery wheels, plows, miners, various pulleys and protractors. Meanwhile, children learn how to make handmade wheels, and Shadoof, a wheel to which a bucket is hanged to pull up water out of a well. 

There is a glossary in the book through which children can get familiar with the meaning of words such as cogwheel, protractor and other new and difficult words used in “Simple Machines”.

“Simple Machines” is published in Octave size, in 7500 thousand copies and three editions concurrently.
