“Am I a Wolf?” Won Turkey Animation Festival Award

“Am I a Wolf?”, an animation directed by Amir Houshang Moein, won the award for the best film from the 8th Canlandiranlar Film Festival, Turkey.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, “Am I a Wolf?” was produced in 2017. It has won 15 international awards so far and has attended more than 30 international festivals.

The eight-minute animation is based on a book carrying the same title written by Afsaneh Shaban-Nejad published by Kanoon. The animation is produced with digital technique at Kanoon Cinematic Affairs. 

Based on the news, official awards of Turkey Animation Festival was given to the best film, best student film, best first film, best Turkish film and jury’s special award. 

“Am I a Wolf?” has previously won “Hiroshima Prize, 2020”, along with the statuette of the festival and one million Yen cash award; special award of Monstra Lisbon Animation Film Festival, Portugal; first prize of the 5th Marathon International Animation Festival, Greece; Golden Dove for the best short film from 62nd DOK Leipzig – International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film; Germany, “The Light of Asia” award from 15th Indie-AniFest Korea Independent Animation Film Festival, South Korea, international competition section Grand Prix of  12th  Paris International Film Festival, France, New Face Award from 22nd Media Arts Festival, Japan. This festival was held online from Oct 16 to 18, 2020,  from Oct 16 to 18, 2020, Istanbul, Turkey.
