“The 11th Step” Reached 37th Annual Chicago International Children's Film Festival

“The 11th Step” directed by Maryam Kashkoulinia entered the official competition section of 37th Annual Chicago International Children's Film Festival. 

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs this animation along with seven other films are displayed for public in a seventy-minute collection and in private at schools.

“The 11th Step” is experiencing its 11th international presence in the official section of Chicago International Film Festival accredited by the Oscars.

The ten-minute and fifty-second animation “The 11th Step”, Kanoon production in 2019, is based on a book carrying the same title written by the late Sousan Taghdis made by the technique of cut-out. Chicago International Children's Film Festival is the first and the oldest children and adolescents festival in North America established in 1983. Despite the outbreak of Corona virus, many films are sent to the festival. 262 short and feature films are selected out of which 20 films made their way to the official feature films section and 242 to the official short films section from 52 countries.

Based on the news, every year in Chicago International Children’s Film Festival the best films for five age categories from 2 to 14 and above are classified. 

Previously, other Kanoon products like “Am I a Wolf?” made by Amir Houshang Moein in the official section of short films in the 36th festival and “The End of Dreams” directed by Mohammad Ali Talebi in the official section for feature films both for age category 14 and above had participated in this festival. 

The 37th Annual Chicago International Children's Film Festival is held online from November 13 to 22, 2020, in Chicago, USA.
