“The Moon and the Fox” Written by Anahita Teimourian is Published in English

“The Moon and the Fox”, a book written and illustrated by Anahita Teimourian is published by Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults in English.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, Farsi version of “The Moon and the Fox” was first published in 2000 for children above 7.

It is the story of a fox who narrates his love for the Moon. One night he decides to climb the mountain, take the moon off the sky, and take it to his nest. Others were so heavily sleeping that did not notice the moon is not in the sky. But, the moon gets bigger and bigger in the fox’s nest every night…

The Moon and the Fox

“The Moon and the Fox” has been published in Japanese, Chinese, Italian and Azari. The story is published in primary school textbook for senior students to ponder about the message and theme of the story.

Babak Nazari made an animation based on the story with the same title in 2004 produced at Kanoon. It has won many awards.
