The Indian Parrot Turned English

The English version of “The Indian Parrot” is at hand as a result of Kanoon endeavors.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs “The Indian Parrot” written by Hamid Gerogan, translated by Siamak Mazloomi. This work is a rewrite of the famous story of Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi Rumi, illustrated by Abdullah Hajivand.

Based on the news, Kanoon has published “The Indian Parrot” in English to familiarize children and adolescents all over the world with Iran Culture and Literature. 

This story has a fluent prose. The illustrations are created based on miniature to make it a graceful book for the audience.

In the summary we read: The parrot lives in the merchant’s cage awaiting freedom. She makes a plan and sends a message to the parrots in India by the merchant.

It is reminded that the book is for the adolescents.
