According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, Alain Bailhache was the illustrator and Mitra Khatonabadi the translator. The book is for children above 7. 

“Snowman Daddy” is the story of children who make a snowman like their grandfather. On grandpa’s suggestion, they choose a job for the snowman. But, at the end, their snowman goes on a long trip.  

In part of a book we read: “Snowman daddy! Snowman daddy! Why you speak so little! How quiet you are!”

Children made so much noise that grandpa came out to see what was going on.

Grandpa, too, got happy on seeing the snowman. The snowman was exactly like grandpa. It was only unable to talk or walk…

The Persian edition of the book was first published in 1970. On Kanoon 50th foundation in 2016, it was published with new editing. The bilingual digital version of the book is presented, as well.  

The book is popular among various generations of Iranian children. Moreover, it is Iran Children’s Book Council selected book. It will has obtained honorary diploma from UNESCO. 

Because of Kanoon endeavors, an animation with the same title directed by Vahid Nourali Rezaie was produced in 2012.
