“According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, “The Scissors Who Was Looking for a Job” is an illustrated story that animates objects, tools, and animals that makes it possible for children above 4 to get familiar with certain concepts.
Majid Zakeri was the illustrator. It is a fictional story about occupations, too. Siamak Mazloomi has translated the book.
In part of the book we read: “That home was a big one. There were big pots on fire and people were quickly going to various directions. In one of the rooms, the scissors sighted the lady tailor. The lady tailor was going to make a dress for the bride but her scissors were so old and rusted that it could not cut the fiber. The wedding was beginning sooner or later. The guests were arriving soon. But, the bride’s dress was not ready, yet.”
Kanoon published “The Scissors Who Was Looking for a Job” in Persian in 2013. The digital version in Arabic is published, too.
It is reminded that the book is changed into a play by Mohammad Hossein Naser Bakht and directed by Saeed Zeinolabedini with the title of “Book, Theater, School”. Arezou Haghighi from Fars Province received the third award of the 20th Kanoon Storytelling Festival from the national section.
