According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, “The Ice who Loved the Sun” written by Reza Mozouni and illustrated by Meysam Mousavi is published by EL FARO publication in Spanish.
By simple narration, the book is trying to picture the confrontation of two opposite worlds. It expresses the love between a piece of ice and the sun. It narrates the continuation of this love through a cold winter into a warm spring.
The theme of the story is kindness, friendship and love. In one part of the story, the piece of ice whispers: “What is the use of living without loving someone? What is the use of loving someone and not watching her?
“The Ice who Loved the Sun” was performed in the form of a play in Russia Volgograd Theater Center. It was performed as a silent play (Pantomime) in Razavi Khorasan Province.
Kanoon published the book in Farsi for the first time in 2010. The Braille version and the digital version of the book are published, too.
“The Ice Who Loved the Sun” is not only published in English by Kanoon, but also in Italian by Valentino Publication.
At the 2014 FIFA World Cup, the book was published in Portuguese and presented to Brazil National Football Team by Iran National Football team as a cultural gift to Brazilian children.
On the back of the book written in Portuguese, we read: My good friend! I know what you are thinking of now. I am thinking of you, too. I am thinking about the sun in the middle of the sky smiling at the world. Now that we are far from each other and can not hold each other’s hands, Let’s think about each other a lot.
It is reminded that this book is suitable for children above seven.
