Exposition of Iranian Illustrators Nominated for Hans Christian Andersen Award

An exposition of Iranian illustrators’ works or those by the final nominees for Hans Christian Andersen Award is being held at Kanoon National Museum of Children’s Art and Literature for the interested.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, in this exposition 34 works by Farshid Mesghali, Nasrin Khosravi, Pejman Rahimizadeh, Farshid Shafiee, and Mohammad Ali Baniasad, the final nominees for Hans Christian Andersen Award are exposed.

Based on this, Farshid Mesghali is the only Iranian winner for Hans Christian Andersen Award. Other artists were nominees for the medal.

The exposition will go on until Feb 18, 2021, Saturday to Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 14:30 p.m. with following hygiene protocols at Kanoon National Museum of Children’s Art and Literature.

Kanoon National Museum of Children’s Art and Literature is located at Kanoon Center for Cultural/ Artistic Creation on Hejab Street.

Hans Christian Andersen Award or the Little Noble Prize is the most prestigious literature-art award in children literature domain presented to the works by an author or an illustrator by IBBY (International Board on Books for Young People) every two years to promote children art-literature level of understanding.
