“The Birds and the Sky” Made Way to Sharjah Children's Reading Festival (Illustration Competition)

“The Birds and the Sky” illustrated by Mohammad-Ali Baniasadi produced by Kanoon made way to Ninth Sharjah Children's Reading Festival (Illustration Competition).

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, out of 113 illustrators who made way to the final stage of Sharjah Children's Reading Fstival (Illustration Competition), there are nine Iranian illustrators: Mohammad-Ali Baniasadi, Mohammad-Hossein Matak, Mojgan Saeedian, Negin Ehtesabian, Ali Bouzari, Hassan Amekan, Haleh Ghorbani, Noushin Sadeghian. 

Based on this, “The Birds and the Sky” written by Farideh Farjam and illustrated by Mohammad-Ali Baniasadi, the outstanding Iranian painter and illustrator, Kanoon production in 2019, is among the works. 

Mohammad-Ali Baniasadi has employed a combination of sketching with pen and media mix technique. 

Based on the news, in the first stage a number of works of participants in this international event, are selected, sent to the competition section, then displayed in specialized exhibition. Out of the works made way to final stage, the first three winners will receive the first, the second and the third prizes and three will receive admiring prizes. 

Sharjah International Children’s Reading Festival is held every year at an international level with the goal of promoting the quality of children books illustrations worldwide, also effective connections among illustrators, authors, publishers and all involved in the domain of children’s books. 

It is reminded that this exhibition is held from May 9 to May 29, 2021 in Sharjah Dubai.
