Screening Ten Kanoon Animations at Iranian Film Festival Zurich

Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults is cooperating with Iranian Film Festival Zurich for the first time while this art event is screening ten Kanoon animations.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, ten Kanoon animations are supposed to be screened in a separate section for two age categories of pre-school and school titled “Animation Films”.
Based on this, animations titled “My Moon, Our Moon” directed by Mohammad Naseri, “Cloudy Goats” by Hamid Karimian, “Kind Moon” directed by Nazanin Sobhan Sarbandi, “Hairy” by Hadi Tabasi and Rasoul Zarrin Takht, “The Dog that Was Sick” by Parvin Tajvid, “Ton-Pich” by Samaneh Momtazvand, and “The Night Song” directed by Moein Samadi are shown for preschoolers.

Also, “The Scarecrow’s Heart” by Gholamreza Kazzazi, “The Fisherman and the Spring” by Seid Hassan Soltani, and “The Farmer and the Robot” directed by Abdullah Alimorad will be screened for school children.

Based on the news, the festival site has made it possible for children and their families to reflect on films. At the end of the festival, the best criticism will receive a prize through drawing lots.
According to the secretary of Iranian Film Festival Zurich, Kanoon is a recognized and well-known group of organizations. Having access to its cultural and artistic treasure adds to the values of the festival.

Yadollah Daj added, “We are intending to introduce all these films to primary schools in Switzerland because they have enchanting content; moreover they do not need subtitles.”

Every year, two groups of jury in two sections of short and feature films judge participated films in this art event. The selected ones receive the Golden Cylinder of Kousorsh (Cyrus the Great).

7th Iranian Film Festival Zurich is held from May 26 to June 3, 2021 virtually. The winners are introduced on June 1.
