“Yadoo” Made Way to Iran Cinema Festival Section at Chantilly, France

“Yadoo”, a feature film directed by Mehdi Jafari, made way to the competition section of Iran Cinema Festival at Chantilly Festival, France.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, “Yadoo” is screened with the presence of Mehdi Jafari at the competition section of Iran Cinema Festival in Chantilly, France.

Yadou is the story of the very first months of the imposed war. Many families migrate but Yadoo’s mother makes a different decision. She believes in staying and fighting. Every time she has a new excuse for her decision. Yadou is trying to convince his mother to leave Aabadan but amongst this, he falls in love. 

“Yadoo” is Kanoon’s latest production that could win Crystal Simorgh at “Seeking Simorgh” in the 39th Fajr Film Festival for the best directing, the best sound recordist, the best dubbing, the best cinematography and an honorary diploma for the best leading actress. 

“Yadoo” won Golden Butterfly honorary diploma of CIFEJ Section, Golden Butterfly and honorary diploma for the best directing, Golden Butterfly for the best film at International Section and honorary diploma for the best Technical Achievement from International Film Festival for Children and Youth, Isfahan.   

Based on the news, Mohammad Reza Mesbah, the executive producer, shares other achievements of the film. He received the statuette of Phoenix 10th Cinema Award. 

The filmscript is based on a real story written by Mahin Abbaszadeh and Mehdi Jafari. Setareh Pesyani, Milad Sevilavi, Mohammad Mehdi Albo Ali, Reyhaneh Ariyamanesh, Akbar Avdoud act in this feature movie. 

It must be reminded that Iran Cinema Festival is held Nov. 4 to 7, 2021 in two sections: competition and non-competition in Chantilly, France.
