Ojai Film Festival Honorary Diploma Granted to “Am I a Wolf?”

“Am I a Wolf?” , an animation directed by Amir Houshang Moein, could obtain the honorary diploma of the 22nd Annual Ojai Film Festival, United States of America.

 “Am I a Wolf?”, an animation directed by Amir Houshang Moein, could obtain the honorary diploma of the 22nd  Annual Ojai Film Festival, United States of America.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, this eight-minute animation is based on a story by Afsaneh Shaban Nejad published by Kanoon produced with digital animation technique at Kanoon Cinematic Affairs.

Competition section films were judged at five categories of feature fiction, short fiction, feature documentary, short documentary, and animation. 

Based on this, “Am I a Wolf?” directed by Amir Houshang Moein, a Kanoon production in 2018,  and “Crab” directed by Shiva Sadegh Asadi, another Kanoon production in 2020, made way to the competition section of this animation festival.

These two short films have won many international awards so far.

 “Yes-People” from Ireland; “Umbrella” from Brazil; “The Infinite” from Italy; “The Beauty” from Germany; “Stereotype” from South Korea; “Souvenir Souvenir” from France; “Rabbit out of Hat” from USA; “Free Bird” from Canada; “Formless Form” from USA; “Eyes Wide Open” from France; “Crab” and “Am I a Wolf?” from Iran; “Colrun” from Spain are the films that made way to the competition section of the festival. “Yes-People” won the award for the best film and “Am I a Wolf?” won the honorary diploma of this section.

This event was a chance to screen the best films, to introduce new directors and agents in the field of USA film industry, distributors and other artists and a chance for them to come to know each other.

“Ojai Film Festival” in its 22nd round was held in California in-person from Nov. 4 to 8 and virtually from 9 to 14 due to the pandemic limits.
