International Children's Day is an Opportunity for Adults to Regard the Importance of Childhood.

With the beginning of the National Children's Week, the International Children's Day statement was published by the Center for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults addressing the children of the world.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, the statement puts emphasis on the importance of childhood and adults caring about the period.

It is stated that:

Dear nice kids all over the world! Hello. Happy Children’s Day.

When I was a kid, I was willing to put the world in my backpack and take it with me to sit on a faraway hill. Spread my happiest color pencils before me and color the world whatever color I wish. One day, I discovered that it is impossible to pick the world.

The next day, I discovered that the world does not fit into my backpack. And then, I understood that some parts of the world are so dark that its color cannot be changed with my color pencils. It was then when I decided to change the world through changing tiny things:

By smiling at a beautiful blossom, by watering a thirsty flower, by removing the trash off the beach or side of the street, by being kind to a hungry bird, by kissing my parents’ hands, by reconciling with my friend, by appreciating my teachers and coaches, and by making a kite for joyfulness. At that time, my tiny world started getting larger with colors in colors. It got more and more beautiful every day.

Today, every kid must think about positive changes in the world by making changes in their own little world.

On this holy day, Iranian kids wish kids and adolescents all over the world for a bird called “Joy and Hope”!

A golden bird with nice chirping to make a nest in the hearts of all kids and be the guest of their innocent hearts forever.

The International Children’s Day and the National Children’s Week is a precious opportunity for adults to pay attention to the importance of childhood, children’s needs and wishes. It reminds them of their duties to attend especially to children’s health, growth, happiness, progress and to have schedule for fulfilling all these goals.

On day in the name of kids at the heart of the calendars of the world is not enough. All the days of the year must be named after children and for the sake of children.

Special programs for the National Children’s Week are held from 8 to 14 Oct, 2022 at Kanoon Center for Cultural-Artistic Creation located on Hejab St, as well as all Kanoon centers all over Iran.
