According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, with the start of National Children’s Week, several officials and artists from various countries have congratulated Iranian children and adolescents by sending messages.
Below, you can read the message of Rafael Gevorkian:
Dear organizers of International Children’s Day, Dear Friends!
On behalf of the Russian Federation and on behalf of myself and all the employees of the Russian Embassy, especially its children, I congratulate the International Children's Day.
Russia and Iran have a lot in common. You can judge yourself. Children form one third of the population of both countries. Family occupies the first rank in importance. The day a baby is born in a Russian family is celebrated as a great day.
I know that it is a holy event when a baby is born; it is the happiest happening probably taking place in a family.
For many years, we have attempted to bring up children in Iran and in Russia.
These endeavors are done by families and the government.
Providing the best education to children is a priority in Iran and in Russia.
Changes in the world are full of great threats and opportunities that our children must manage
Children are the future of our countries and the whole world that urgently calls for peace, respecting fellow men, justice, honesty, and order. These are the most fundamental spiritual concepts uniting people in Russia and in Iran. I assure you that our kids are in the same boat in this world.
One more time, I congratulate you all on this day and I wish you health and perseverance in moving towards your goals.
