According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, the closing ceremony of the 1st Isaar International Film Festival was held with the presence of Hassan Mansuri, the Executive Vice President, Seyed Amirhossein Ghazizadeh Hashemi, the head of the Martyrs and Violators Foundation, and a group of artists in the conference hall of the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in Mashhad.

Based on this, at the competition section for Iran Cinema, the award for the best director of film and film script went to “Yadoo” directed by Mehdi Jafari.

The film is based on a story titled “The Lion’s Wound” by Samad Taheri and with a film script by Mehdi Jafari and Mahin Abbaszadeh jointly produced by Kanoon and Farabi Cinema Foundation.

Setareh Pesiani, Milad Soveilavi, Mohammad Mehdi Albouali, Reyhaneh Ariamanesh, Akbar Odood are the actors.

It should be mentioned that “The Sprayer” directed by Farnoush Abedi, “Lovely Sky” directed by Amir Hossein Mehran and “Playground” directed by Samaneh Fazllollahi produced by Kanoon made way to the animation section of this art event. The first two animations were nominated to receive awards.

The First International ISAAR Festival (film and screenplay) was held in Mashahd from May 19 to 24, 2023 with Farhad Dabiri as the secretary of the festival.
