According to Kanoon General Directorate, on July 14th, the closing ceremony of the First Havva International Film Festival was held with the participation of cultural, artistic, and political figures at Vahdat Hall.

Based on this, the award of the best feature film at international section was given to Mohammad Reza Mesbah and Sajad Nasrollahi Nasab for producing “In the Embrace of the Tree”. The award of the best directing was given to Babak Khajehpasha for directing the same film.

In the national section, the award of the best film was given to Mohammad Reza Mesbah for producing “Yadoo”. Mehdi Jafari received the award of the best directing for the same film.

“Yadoo” and “In the Embrace of the Tree”, feature movies produced by Kanoon, could have won many awards.

Mohammad Esmailie, the minister of Culture and Ershad; Roohollah Sohrabi, Mehdi Azar Pendar, Hashem Mirzakhani, Mohammad Hamidi Moghaddam, managers at Cinema Foundation; artists such as Mohammad Hossein Latifi, Mohammad Ali Basheh Ahangar, Mostafa Razzagh Karimi, Mehdi Jafari, Dariush Arjmand, Marzieh Boroumand, Hadi Mogaddam Doust…were among the guests.

The First International Havva Film Festival was held with the endeavors of Goharshad International Foundation and with Mahdieh Sadat Mehvar as the director in Tehran from 11 to 14 July 2023.

This event was run by placing the focus of women and family on its agenda and in cooperation with various cultural centers and organizations..
