According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, “Yadoo”, is a joint product by Kanoon and Farabi Cinema Foundation, and “Successor” is produced by Kanoon.
“Yadoo”, a feature film directed by Mehdi Jafari and shot by Morteza Najafi nominated for the best director and best cinematography. “Yadoo” is supposed to compete with 25 other films in “TV Drama” section.
“Successor”, an animation directed by Abdollah Alimorad is nominated for the best animated film. “Successor “is supposed to compete with 15 short animations from China, Kazakhstan, Russia, Finland, France, Argentina, and America.
The works made way to the competition section of this round of “Golden Panda” are supposed to compete in four categories: cinema, TV drama, documentary, and animation.
The goal of this festival is to select valuable works highlighting high humane values deepening the relationship among human beings. Works that promotes mutual understanding among them.
“Zhang Yi-Mou” winner of the first round of Golden Panda Festival is the head of the jury this year. This well-known Chinese director represents five generations of Chinese directors. His films have important place in the history of China cinema.
