According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, the story of “Gilgamesh”, Kanoon latest production, is based on the most ancient epic and literary work of the world.

“Gilgamesh”, the well-known hero of Yuruk, a city in Sumeria located in Mesopotamia, is half-human, half-god. He has spent his life seeking immortality and getting godlike. He has failed many times, but finally he finds a plant that makes him eternal, but the snake finds the plant, this way his lifelong achievement is lost. Snake is the symbol of eternity in mythology.

Recently and after participating in Pinus International Film Festival 2023, this animation could make way to the final section of Sugar Loaf Film Festival in USA.

“Gilgamesh” is supposed to be displayed on September 24, 2023, in this festival.

Sugar Loaf Film Festival is going to be held on 23, 24 of September 2023 in New York, USA.
