According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, on the last day of the 35th Int'l Film Festival for Children and Youth (Isfahan), the winners were introduced in a ceremony attended by Hamed Alamati, Kanoon General Manager.

Based on this, “In the Embrace of the Tree” directed by Babak Khajehpasha won the special award of the jury of the international section, “Golden Butterfly”.

“In the Embrace of the Tree” is a joint product by Kanoon and Soureh Cinema Organization. It has been nominated for the best directing (Babak Khajehpasha), and the best child actor and adolescent (Rayan Lotfi) at Iran competition section.

In this ceremony, “Golden Butterfly” went to “Successor”, an animation directed by Abdollah Alimorad received by Mohammad Reza Karimi Saremi in Alimorad’s absence.

Based on the news, “Golden Butterfly” was given to “Being Ten”, a short film directed by Fatemeh Jafari. After receiving this statuette, Fatemeh Jafari said, “For sure this success is the result of a group work and I am here as the representative of the group. I would like to thank all of them who are the reason for it. I also would like to extend a special thanks to Kanoon that supports us to make films.”

The 35th Int'l Film Festival for Children and Youth (Isfahan) ended on October 12, 2023 in Kosar Hall, Isfahan.
