According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, the nineteen-minute and thirty-three-second animation, “In the Shadow of the Cypress”, is Kanoon latest production.

21 short animations participating in this round of Annecy Festival are from Netherlands, Iran, USA, France, Hungary, Canada, Switzerland, Poland, Portugal, Germany, Japan, Czech Republic, Britain, Belgium, Spain, Finland, Slovakia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Norway.

Based on this news, the awards for the short-film competition section will be presented as follow: Cristal statuette for the best short animation, the jury award for the best short animation, Jean-Luc Xiberras Award for the first film, the jury special appreciation award and the audience award. Annecy Festival is considered as one of the most prestigious A festivals in the world. Every year more than thousands of animation audience gather in this festival. The great meeting of the artists of the seventh art is held in this festival.
