“In the Shadow of the Cypress” Attending an Oscars Approved Festival.

As it continues to appear internationally, “In the Shadow of the Cypress”, an animation directed by Hossein Molayemi and Shirin Sohani, was screened at the competition section of short animations of the 26th RiverRun International Film Festival.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, “In the Shadow of the Cypress” produced by Kanoon was displayed in a ninety-minute program with nine other films from USA, France, Germany, Canada, People’s Republic of China, The Netherlands and Belgium.

This animation is displayed virtually in North Carolina, USA, until May 29, 2024.

Based on the news, the jury of this round of the festival has selected 147 films including documentary, student, animation films by outstanding and emerging filmmakers in this field.

RiverRun International Film Festival is one of the most prominent festivals among fifty important ones in the world. The best short animations and documentaries by this festival are directly introduced to the Academy Awards.
