According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, “In the Embrace of the Tree”, a feature film directed by Babak Khajehpasha and produced by Mohammad Reza Mesbah and Sajad Nasrollahi Nasab, a joint product of Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children & Young Adults and Soureh Cinema Organization, is going to be displayed in the competition section of the10th Zurich Film Festival.

In the summary of “In the Embrace of the Tree” it is stated: “The crisis in Kimia and Farid’s life who married 12 years ago, ruins the beautiful world of their children; the children that know nothing but innocence and kindness.”

The goal of this festival is to fill the cultural gap between Iranians, the Swiss and the foreigners living in this country. To fulfill this goal, a collection of the best fiction and documentaries made by Iranian filmmakers are presented to the festival audience. 

 This festival intends to prepare a platform to present Iranian culture and traditions producing a connecting bridge among various cultures in the world with the common language called “Art”, especially for the seventh art, cinematography. 

The 10th Zurich Film Festival is going to be held 12 to 19 September 2024 in Zurich, Switzerland. 

 Recently, this film is being shown in Iran’s movie theaters.
