According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, “In the Arms of the Tree”, a feature movie directed by Babak Khajehpasha and produced by Mohammad Reza Mesbah and Sajad Nasrollahi, a joint product of Kanoon and Soureh Cinema Organization, is recently introduced to the Oscars 2025 as Iran’s representative. 

 With a show at Javad Movafaghiyan Hall, “In the Arms of the Tree” started its screening on Sep 20, 2024 with the presence of Maral Bani Adam, the leading actor, and Iranians living in Vancouver, Canada.

In the sideline of the film, Maral Bani Adam welcomed the audience and said, “I am grateful to you for attending the show, I am also grateful to the film distributor for coordinating the screening of the film in Canada at the same time at Iran.” 

I am happy that we can watch “In the Arms of the Tree” together with you since I could not be in Iran when it was screened. She added, “This film is made by Babak Khajeh Pasha in praise of the family in Urmia.”

Due to massive response, “In the Arms of the Tree” is going to be screened again on Oct 18, 2024 in Vancouver and on Oct 12 and 13 in Toronto and Montreal.
