According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, the jury of animation section of the national competition for 41st International Tehran Short Film Festival included Farnoush Aabedi, Fatemeh Goudarzi, Behnoud Nekouei. Out of 109 animations, the jury selected 14 among which “In the Shadow of the Cypress” can be seen. 

“In the Shadow of the Cypress” is Kanoon recent product that has won more than dozens of awards from national and international festivals. 

This animation is about a captain suffering from stress after an accident. He and his daughter live in a poor house on the coast and in solitude. They must fight with the challenges of a difficult life. 

The 41st Tehran International Short Film Festival with Mehdi Azarpendar as the director is going to be held 18 to 23 Oct 2024 in Tehran, Iran.
