According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, Rozan Tonovian, the director of the Khnko Aper National Children's Library pinpointed the thousand-year history of the relations between Iran and Armenia and said that the translation of Iranian literature is an important step in strengthening the cultural ties between the two countries.
He said, “The prominent proof for this is the existence of Iran Section in our library working since 2006. With the cooperation of the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, this section has developed in recent years.”
He continued, “Today’s event that would be a new content in developing the cultural and literal ties between the two countries is one of the cooperation. Culture, literature and especially children and adolescents’ literature are the best manifestation of deep knowledge of each other. ”
The director of the Khnko Aper National Children's Library said, “Iran children and adolescents’ literature is one the pioneers in the world and the authors of these books are talented people who have won many awards; they are known to the Armenian readership. Felicitating "Geork Asatorian", the translator of the works, was also another part of this ceremony.
By expressing his satisfaction on the cooperation with the authors, the translator of the two books said, “Translating these books is a precious chance to make Arminian children familiar with the rich culture and humane messages of Iran’s literature.”
