According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, out of 18 best films making way to the competition section of short films of this festival, the jury gave the award of the section to “In the Shadow of the Cypress” directed by Shirin Sohani and Hossein Molayemi.

Based on this, in addition to the presence of adult juries in every section of the festival, the children jury have judged and selected their films.
The successful animation, ‘In the Shadow of the Cypress” by Kanoon, so far could attend many festivals approved by the Oscar and received four awards and directly get nominated for the grand competition of Oscar in this branch.
