According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, “In the Arms of the Tree”, a feature film produced by Sajad Nasrollahi and Mohamadreza Mesbah, a joint product by Kanoon and Soureh Cinema Organization, started its public display in Pakistan on January 10th 2025.
This film is being screened by Cinepax, Pakistan largest film distributing company. The opening ceremony of screening “In the Arms of the Tree” was held with the participation of a number of artists, the involved in Pakistan cinema and artistic-cultural-political officials of Iran and with the coverage of more than 15 TV networks at Cinepax Movie Hall in Karachi.
After this ceremony, “In the Arms of the Tree” is going to be displayed in the following cities:
Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Multan, Quetta, Faisalabad, Gujarat, and Gujaran by seven film distributing companies with Cinepax as the major distributor.
According to the conditions and laws governing Pakistani cinema for broadcasting foreign films, the release of this Iranian film in this country is of particular importance.
“In the Arms of the Tree” has previously participated in various film festivals, and was introduced as Iran’s delegation to the Oscars in 2025 that was not included in the final list of the works at the international section (non-English films).
