“Call Me Ziba”, a Kanoon Movie, the Best Movie by Fajr Film Festival!

“Call Me Ziba”, directed by Rasoul Sadr Ameli, produced by Kanoon, was selected as the best film at 43rd Fajr Film Festival.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, the jury for Seeking Simorgh Section of the festival had introduced five films titled: “Someone Else Child”, “Call me Ziba”, “North by Southwest”, “Highway Deer”, “Moses the Kalimullah: At Dawn” out of which “Call me Ziba” managed to obtain the precious award.
Based on this report, the closing ceremony of the 43rd Fajr International Film Festival was held at the gathering hall of Milad Tower on the eve of Feb 10, 2025. Seyed Maziyar Hashemi received the award for the best film from the hands of the jury. In a short speech, he appreciated Rasoul Sadrameli for making the film.
“Call me Ziba”, Kanoon latest film, directed by Rasoul Sadrameli produced by Seyed Maziyar Hashemi and the cooperation of Farabi Film Foundation participating at the competition section of Fajr Film Festival was nominated to receive 10 Simorghs from this festival.
This film is adapted from a book titled “Call me Ziba” written by Farhad Hassanzadeh produced by Kanoon for adolescents.
The book is the story of a fifteen-year-old girl who lives in an institute run by Welfare Organization. Her mother has married and her father is in an asylum center due to psychological problems.
Amin Hayai, Juliet Rezaei, Mehran Ghafouriyan, Setareh Pesyani, and a number of adolescents are acting in this movie.
The 43rd Fajr International Film Festival that had started on Jan 31, 2025 with Manouchehr Shahsavari as the director of the festival ended on Feb 10 through a ceremony held at the Milad Tower International Conference Center.
